Nepal’s Oldest man dies at 131

The senior-most citizen Raghu Baharkher, who was 131 years old, died on Friday.

The resident of Tirahut rural municipality-1 in Saptari district, Baharkher spent his life involving in livestock farming, according to a local Mukesh Yadav.

Baharkher is the first person to raise some 10,000 cattle. He even domesticated the wild buffalo. Central member of Ghosin Upliftment Forum Nepal, Soviyat Lal Paghaiya Yadav, informed that Baharkher spent his life raising livestock in the jungle of Koshi Tappu.

His last rites would be performed today on the bank of Koshi river near the Koshi barrage.

One dies in motorcycle accident
A man died in a motorcycle accident occurred at Chadani Chowk of Krishnasabaran rural municipality-2 along the east-west highway this morning.

The victim has been identified as Chaneshwor Joshi, 20, from the same locality, said Area Police Office, Kanchanpur. Joshi, receiving injuries on head and body, was rushed to Golden Hospital, Biratnagar, but breathed his last during treatment, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police, Bhawesh Rimal.

The accident occurred as Joshi lost control on the motorcycle (Ba 26 Pa 6002) he was riding.
