Nepali migrants abroad donate ambulance to end unwarranted deaths

An ambulance purchased through collection of donations has been handed over to the local residents of Chaumata in Deumai municipality of Ilam.

The Chaumata Concern Society raised funds from the locals of Chaumata living in various parts of the country and abroad. A total of Rs. 1.4 million was collected using various means including the social media to purchase the ambulance, the society secretary Kamal Shrestha said. The ambulance cost Rs. one million and the remaining amount will be used to construct a community building.

Mayor of the municipality Surya Prasad Pokharel inaugurated the ambulance services here on Friday.
