Twitter co-founder Evan Williams steps down Californ

Another C-suite Twitter executive is stepping down. The company co-founder and former CEO Evan Williams announced his exit to “focus on other things”.

Williams, currently the CEO of blogging platform Medium, took over Jack Dorsey’s role as CEO at Twitter from 2008 to 2010, Engadget reported. Earlier reports indicate that Williams helped oust Dorsey back in the time before he rejoined in 2015 as CEO. Williams left Twitter in 2011, but continued to be part of the board of directors until now. In 2017, he sold 30 percent of his shares in the company.

In his parting tweet, Williams thanked Dorsey and fellow Twitter founder Biz Stone.
