Call for Nepalese in Japan to mitigate anomalies

A discussion took place in Fukuoka of Japan aimed at mitigating anomalies among the Nepalese in the country.

The interaction was organised by ‘Our Nepal, We Nepali’ campaign on Saturday, where speakers stressed on the need for every side to become responsible in addressing the problems among the Nepali population, that is increasing of late in Japan.

Speaking at the event, President of Non-resident Nepalis Association Bhawan Bhatta said everyone should be responsible in making student life in Japan easy and trouble-free. “Struggle and plans should go ahead together, and everyone has equal responsibility to resolve the problem,” he said.

At the programme, Prof. Masako Tanaka of the Sofia University said that anomalies have been increasing in the Nepali community as many Nepalis run after money soon after they arrive in Japan. “Japan is a great source of opportunity of Nepalis, hence the right path should be used to utilize it,” Tanaka said.

Various other spealers including Nabin Adhikari of Fukuoka Nepal Society and Laxman Baniya of NRNA stressed on the need for Nepalis to win the trust of the Japanese citizens by resolving internal disputes and concentrating in the work.

Officials from the Fukuoka Prefecture and the Fukuoka Immigration Department and Fukuoka police were also present in the programme.
