Ghising, Dr Ruit honoured with ‘Hem Bahadur Malla Award’

(RSS): Executive Director at Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), Kul Man Ghising, and ophthalmologist Dr Sanduk Ruit have been honoured with the ‘Hem Bahadur Malla Award’ here Friday.

Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun felicitated the duo with letter of appreciation and offered them shawls. The honour was instituted by Public Administration Association of Nepal (PAAN) in the name of Hem Bahadur Malla, late top administrator of the Salt Trading Corporation.

The honour also carries a purse of Rs 200,000 to each recipient.

VP Pun, on the occasion, said that if all people were as honest and obedient as Dr Ruit and Ghising, it would not take long for nation-building. Pun said, “If all administrators, civil employees and leaders would be obedient and selfless, our country would be a better place.”

Urging the employees to abide by the values as dutifulness and morality, the VP asserted referring to Ghising, “Once the administrator works diligently, he brings out so many changes in the country.”

Hem Bahadur Malla, who entered in the Salt Trading Corporation in 1963 as a manager, worked in various capacities, ensuring the overhaul of the organization before retiring as the General-Manager. He passed away in October 28, 2000. Malla is regarded as a ‘role model’ administrator in the organization.
