Government unveils 1.315 trillion budget for fiscal year 2018/19

Minister for Finance Dr Yubraj Khatiwada has stressed on fiscal unity and connectivity among the south Asian countries for holistic development in the region.

Addressing a programme on Economic scenario of south Asian countries in New Delhi today, Minister Khatiwada argued that the fiscal unity, transportation, energy and connectivity would accelerate the economic development in the region.

He said that there were different areas in trade competition among the south Asian states and it may further create employment opportunity and it could help economic growth in the region as well. He also said that India and China were increasing foreign investment in Nepal and the environment for investment was appropriate in these days in Nepal.

On another note, he urged the concerned sides to help success Nepal’s Visit Nepal 2020 programme with huge participation from foreigners.
