‘Nepal Day’ is celebrated on Sunday in Lumbini Gardens under the World Horticulture Expo released in Beijing with the slogan “Green Life, Beautiful Home.”
Nepal Day, which started with traditional Kumari dance. At the program, Nepalese Ambassador to China Lilamani Poudyal expressed happiness on behalf of Nepal as a neighbor to the development of China and the progress made by the millions of people below poverty line.
Wishing the 7th anniversary of the establishment of a new China, he said that high level visits through both the countries have brought new ties to international relations. He also requested that most of the tourists from China go to Nepal as Nepal is planning to visit Nepal next year.
The World Horticulture Expo-19 was launched from the last Baishakh (ie April 29). The Expo, which lasts for 162 days, will conclude on October 7. During this period, there have been 2500 series of cultural activities, one of which was organized by Nepal.
President Bidyadevi Bhandari, who came to attend the Second Belt and Road Summit in China in mid-May, inaugurated the Lumbini Peace Garden in Yancheng District, Beijing. Organizations from over 100 countries and regions around the world have participated in the expo. Within the expo there are 80 gardens of pavilions and houses.
It is considered the largest expo organized by China after China’s Khunmin World Gardening Expo, Shanghai World Expo and the first Chinese International Import Expo. The Gardening Expo was inaugurated last April along with the BRI Second Summit Forum in Beijing. Beijing World Expo is also one of China’s domestic diplomacy this year.
