For nearly a decade and a half NRN UK history, Poonam Gurung has succeeded in becoming the first female president. Poonam has created a new history by defeating rival Sher Bahadur Sunar by 203 votes.
Similarly, Prem Gahamgar and Sunil Babu Khadka, vice-president, Rojina Pradhan Rai, woman vice-president, Fadindra Bhattarai, general secretary, Jit Ranabhat and Koshleshwar (Krishna) Dhakal, Ranjita Malla, secretary of women , Tejendra Roka, treasurer, vice-treasurer Naveed Guru Shakunta and coordinator Prasoon Kandel has been elected.
The members include Saraswati KC, Amrita Giri, Goma Poudel, Prakash Kandel, Kopila Vanem, Lal Bahadur Gurung, Krishna Prasad Kharel, Dr. Sunil Kumar Shah, Hem Bahadur Limbu, Chandrakala Limbu, Taramaiya Gurung and Gyanendra Bahadur Ale Magar were victorious.
Liladevi Gurung, Sushila Rai, Yogakumar Fagami, Dayanidhi Sapkota, Lalit Kumar Neupane, Arkaraj Timsina and Saroj Maske have been elected as ICC members. Deepak Shrestha was elected to the chair of the State Council of England and Chabilal Aryal was elected to the chairman of the Scottish State Council. Krishna Prasad Bhandari, President of the Wells State Council and Narayan Bahadur Kunwar have been elected unopposed in the Northern Ireland State Council.
Newly elected NRN UK president Gurung leadership took oath on Sunday.
