CPN Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has reaffirmed that the party merger between the CPN-UML and CPN-Maoist Centre into CPN till the local level would be completed within three months.
At a Football Tournament organized by the Rinejam Nepal on the first memorial of his belated son Prakash Dahal at Charikot of Dolakha district Sunday, Chairperson Dahal stated that the unification process at district and local units level were delayed due to technical reasons.
Dahal shared,” Preparations have been made to hold a Secretariat meeting on November 22 that will be attended by the both Chairpersons of the CPN UML, carrying out the task such a determining the office-bearers in the District Committees and division of work in the Central Committee.”
Clarifying that there were no dispute between him and another Chairperson Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli regarding party unification, the former Prime Minister further explained, “Party unification process at the local level was not delayed due to tussle between the leadership and internal conflicts.”
He claimed that although the incumbent government suffered criticism in its initial phase, the government has been undertaking popular programmes in the later days.
