Thousands of youths leaving for Gulf countries from Nepal seeking foreign employment are facing numerous problems.
According to the Immigration project Nawalparasi, 600 youths from eastern Nawalparasi and 946 from the western part facing several problems have complained for that cause. A total of 110 workers have lost their lives according to the statistics of the Safe Immigration Project Nawalparasi, the program officer of the project, Gyaneswor Bhandari said. The problems include taking money and not delivering the facilities as stated, allocated salary not being provided on time, hard and challenging task being given against the agreement, Bhandari said. In the span of four years, 1100 various problems have been solved while the coordinating role is been played with the various entities associated with the problems to provide the compensation of Rs 12 Crore to the victim side.
Nawalparasi is placed in the fifth place in case of challenges faced in the field of foreign employment and third in the deaths of the youths during foreign employment.
