Two boys will be representing Nepal in the Global Football for Friendship (F4 F) Programme to be held in Russia.
Girish Maske and Anmesh Rayamajhai, both 12, have been selected for participating in the event on behalf of the country.
F4F is a special programme supported by the Gazprom and FIFA, and it aims to promote the culture of football since young age and encourage people to live a healthy life, it is said.
The event will see the participation of youths from 210 countries across the world. This is the first time Nepal is participating in the event scheduled for upcoming June.
Girish will take part in the programme as a young footballer where friendship matches will be held among 32 teams under the Gazprom Football for Friendship International Championship. Anmesh will attend the programme as a young journalist. The two will also take part in the sixth edition of Gazprom Football for Friendship International Children’s Forum to be organised in Russia.
