Seven Nepalese workers deceived by the company are returned back to Nepal by the special decision of the Qatar government.

The Swiss engineering for Constructor Company had banned the Nepalese workers and also had filed a lawsuit against them in the Criminal court. According to the Nepalese embassy at Qatar, the ministry of home affairs of Qatar sent the Nepalese back to Nepal through a special decision prior to the decision of the court. The rescued Nepalese include Jit Bahadur BK, Hari Kumar Thapa, Shyam Kewat, Giri Raj Pangeni, Shyam Lal Rana, Ram Krishna Gurung and Krishna Bahadur Darji.

The company had filed the lawsuit against them asking for 63 thousand Riyal (NRs 18 Lakh 90 thousand ) saying they fled away from the company. The company made them sign on a blank paper telling them that it will manage overtime for 15 days and the Nepalese signed the agreement. But the company didn’t pay them for three months and the Nepalese pressurized the company to let them go back to Nepal and the company misused the signature on the blank paper and filed a lawsuit against them, Human resource manager Narendra Gyawali said. After the incident, the embassy has ordered the Labor Ministry not send Nepalese workers to the Swiss company.
