The Nepalese working in Malaysia have provided an economic assistance of one lakh 70 thousand five hundred and 78 rupees to save the life of a Prem Bahadur Rai who is in a prison of Saudi Arabia for the past two years.

With 300 workers of Kehel of Malaysia, the amount collected by Budhraj Youghang of Mai municipality was sent to him via his family for the save Prem Bahadur Rai campaign. The collected amount was handed over to the campaign by the parliamentarian of Ilam of Province 2, Dhirendra Sharma. On this occasion, Sharma assured that he will appeal to the government to save the life of Rai and rescue him from the prison of Saudi. Rai went to Saudi for foreign employment in 2012 and after spending some holiday, he again went to Saudi in 2016 and he lost the car of the company which he was driving. After losing the car, he was sentenced for imprisonment of two months.

After facing the sentence, he was returning home but the company again arrested him and demanded an amount of three lakh 10 thousand Riyal (Nepali Rupees 95 lakh). He has to spend the rest of his days in prison until he gives the money to the company so the campaign for saving him was launched and the collection of the required amount is initiated from the national as well as international level.
