Economic assistance to witch accused Chaudhary from Britain

The Nepalese living in Britain have provided an assistance of Rs. 36 thousand to Radha Chaudhary, 20 of Ghoda Ghodi municipality – 5, Deukaliya of Kailali who was beaten accusing her of a witch.

The amount was handed over in Dhangadhi in a press meet by the member of province assembly, Chunu Kumari Chaudhary and four others. It is notified that the amount was provided by Ram Prasad Rai, Anuradha Rai and Sushma Rai who are living in Britain. Stating that the amount was handed for the education and health of Radha, Provincial assembly member Chaudhary said, the common campaign against false tradition has been initiated. On this occasion, Chaudhary appealed to all the members of the community to create an environment for Radha to live there.

Radha was beaten badly accusing her of a witch on the International Women’s day, Falgun 24 by Ram Bahadur Chaudhary (Bhole Baba) with the help of two other women. Lawsuit has been filed against those involved in this incident under witch accusation punishment act and for attempted murder.
