The time period of amnesty provided by Kuwait for safe returning of the illegal immigrants is extended for two months. Previously the time period was decided up to February 22.
Nepali ambassador for Kuwait Yagya Bahadur Hamal said the amnesty period is extended till April 22. According to the amnesty conditions put forward by Kuwait, one can stay in Kuwait by paying charges or can return to their homeland from there. Ambassador Hamal told that Nepalese are also taking advantage of the amnesty.
In a duration of a month of amnesty, nearly two thousand nine hundred and 8 Nepalese have already made travel documents from the embassy to return to their home. Among those applying for travel document, one thousand one hundred and forty are male and one thousand seven hundred 31 are household women workers.
