Three Nepalese kidnapped in Turkey released after paying ransom

Foreign employment seeker Nepalese kidnapped in Turkey are released after receiving ransom.

The Nepalese were in Turkey for employment and were kidnapped. The kidnapped were Tikaram BK of Khotang, Kiran Magar of Morang and Tika Limbu of Taplejung. They were kidnapped from Turkey on Magh 21 telling that they will be taken to a reputed company for better opportunity. After paying a ransom of Rs 21 Lakhs, they were released on Magh 27, Tikaram said. they were kidnapped in Turkey but had to pay the ransom money in Pakistan.

To pay the ransom, Tikaram and Kiran managed 8 Lakhs each while Tika paid 5 Lakh 50 thousand. But the kidnappers asked for more cash so the families of Tikaram and Kiran had to pay additional 3 Lakh 50 thousand. The kidnapper is said to be a Pakistani citizen Mirza Kasiv. The ransom money was sent to Qatar from Nepal and from Qatar to Pakistan in the name of  Mohammad Sahwaaj (ID number 3310070974467), Tikaram’s father Dil Bahadur BK said.

They learnt about their kidnapping after their mobile phones were snatched by the kidnappers.
