Two Lakhs ten thousand collected as aid to Om Bikram Bist

In a program conducted for economic aid in North Carolina, a total of Two Lakhs and Ten thousand is collected within an hour for helping Nepali Pop Singer Om Bikram Bist for his Kidney disease.

The fund was raised through live musical program in social networking site, face book. The program was organized jointly by the common organization, Nepalese Association of South East America (NASA) of Nepalese living in 15 states of south eastern America and TNCC. In the program initiated with song titled ‘malai awaj deu’, famous artists such as Suman Bhattarai, lead vocalist of Agni band, Pradip Ghimire and classical singer Basant Khadka performed the famous songs by Bist.

After the failure of both of his kidneys, Bist has been living with his daughter in America and is having regular dialysis. In America, it takes around 5 to 10 years for kidney transplant but due to lack of money Bist wanted to do the treatment in India so he appealed to all Nepalese for economic support through various means of communication.
