NRNA Eighth global conference Began

Eighth global conference of Non-Residential Nepalese Association (NRNA) has begun today on October 14.

This conference will continue up to October 17 to elect new leadership. The conference is scheduled to be inaugurated with President Bidya Devi Bhandari as the chief guest.

The conference will elect a new leadership for the next two years so hundreds of NRN leaders and representatives have gathered at Kathmandu. The race for registering candidacy for new leadership is taking place rapidly.

From meeting the political leaders to create the situation in their favor to influencing the delegates towards them are being practiced.

Till date, three candidacies for president are registered. Japan’s successful entrepreneur Bhawan Bhatta had already registered his candidacy in agreement with Kumar Pant.

Bhawan Bhatta from Gorkha is established as a successful enterpreneur of Japan. He went to Japan for study at Tokhai University at the age of 21 in 1997. In Japan he has established nearly 290 restaurants and hotels. Yearly up to 32 arabs transactions takes place at those hotels as well as restaurants.

Similarly Bhatta also has invested nearly 2 arabs as the chairman of TBI group in various sectors like communication, education, tourism, infrastructures and others.

Including Karobar Daily, United Brewery, BB airways, Dhulikhel Mount Resort, Colleges, Kathmandu – Hetauda tunnel, he has investment in 23 organizations of Nepal.

Similarly another candidate for President TB Karki was the Vice President of NRN ICC from 2013 to 2015. Karki was active in NRNA since past 12 years.

Karki became the member of ICC from Qatar in 2007 and on fifth global conference, he became the secretary of NRN ICC.

Present President of NRN ICC Shesh Ghale’s wife Jamuna Gurung declared her candidacy only two days ago. Staying in Australia for more than two decades, she is enlisted as the 11th richest women of Australia by the local newspapers.

First women from South Asia to be enlisted as one of the richest women of Australia, Jamuna Gurung went to Australia on Student VISA. Jamuna is the Managing Director of Melbourne Institute of Technology.

After the opening session at Hyatt Hotel located at Bouddha of Kathmandu, general Assembly and Closed Session of NRNA ICC will take place on October 15. Elections will take place on October 16 and the program will be concluded on October 17.

According the election schedule, primary voters list will be published on October 14 and final list of voters will be published on October 15 in the morning. Candidacy registration will be on October 15 and by 12 pm on October 16, final list of candidates will be published. The elections will begin 1 pm onwards on October 16 and within one hour after the completion of voting, the results will be announced.
