Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has consulted lawyers on the recent political developments.
During the consultation held at the PM’s official residence on Wednesday, the Prime Minister inquired about the status of the government in the changed context and the likelihood of a no-confidence motion against the government, according to senior advocate Yadunath Khanal.
On the occasion, lawyers apprised the Prime Minister about the constitutional and legal provisions concerning the matter, and that the government would not be affected until the elections. The consultation comes in wake of the electoral alliance forged among the communist parties including the ruling CPN (MC).
Those present during the consultation were among others President of Nepal Bar Association Sher Bahadur KC, General Secretary Khamma Bahadur Khati, senior advocates Radheshyam Adhikari, Badri Bahadur Karki, Surya Dhungel and Prem Bahadur Khadka.RSS
