Becoming popular mobile app ‘NET TV’ is now connected with Ncell. Now, Ncell customers can enjoy watching live TV on their mobile set anytime. On the occasion of festival coming, Ncell has launched a new service ‘NET TV Packs’, enabling its customers to watch live TV in mobile at an affordable rate.
The launch of the TV packs marks yet another milestone in Nepali telecommunications market, as for the first time in the Nepal’s history telecommunication is making TV pack available for their mobile customers. Customers subscribing to the TV pack will be able to watch live TV in NET TV Nepal App, a product of NITV STREAMZ Pvt. Ltd with which Ncell has partnered for the its better service.
The TV packs have come into effect from Wednesday (October 26, 2016) for the period of 15 days. Depending upon customers’ requirement, Ncell’s postpaid and prepaid customers can buy packs containing time duration of 30 Mins, 1 Hour, 2 Hours and 3 Hours to use the TV app, where the packs costs Rs 35, Rs 60, Rs 100 and Rs 150 respectively. These packs’ cost are inclusive of taxes.
All four packs can be subscribed in both one-time and auto-renew basis. For one-time, pack validity will be 24 hours after activation, while for recurring packs, they will be renewed at mid-night automatically.
For downloading the NETTV Nepal app in to your mobile device, go to App store / Play Store search for NETTV Nepal and download the app.
Customers can activate the packs by dialing the short code *17133# and selecting a desired pack. They can also subscribe the packs by sending SMS to 17133. For example, customers need to type 1 hr D and send it to 17133 for one-time one hour pack. For recurring, customers need to type 1hr and send it to 17133.
“We are glad to introduce this service, which ensures affordable access to our customers to watch live TV on their mobile set,” said Milan Sharma, corporate communications expert of Ncell. “Amid growing demand for mobile data and contents, this will definitely add value to our customer to enjoy convergence of mobile and TV service.”
Customers can also activate the packs through IVR. After consumption of the packs, customers will be charged Rs 3 per MB, excluding taxes. If customers want to discontinue pack subscribed, they can deactivate by dialing *17133# and following instruction accordingly or by sending SMS to 17133. For example, a customer can type R2hr and send it to 17133 to deactivate 2 hour pack.
